Solar on Landfill Sites
These days with the proliferation of solar power plants, roof space and suitable land is becoming more scarce close to urban areas. Some Shire Councils faced with these restrictions are looking for new sites on which to build solar power plants with reasonable generation capacities so as to offset their own rising power costs, or those of their communities. Solar on landfill offers Councils with capped landfill sites the opportunity to substantially increase their solar footprint on land that otherwise cant be used for years, and possibly generate additional income by selling the electricity.
